Freedom of Information
The Freedom of Information Act (2000) gives you the right to see information held by Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust.
How to make a request
If you want information about the Trust, please send us a letter or e-mail detailing the information you require (contact details to the right). The FOI Act stipulates requests must be in writing and we cannot respond to requests made by telephone.
Please note a considerable amount of information is routinely published and made available in our FOI Publication Scheme so please look here first.
FOI Publication Scheme
Our publication scheme is a guide which tells people about the broad classes of information that the Trust will routinely make available to the public. We follow the template designed by the Information Commissioner's Office which uses the word "classes" to cover seven topics:
- Who we are and what we do
- What we spend and how we spend it
- What our priorities are and how we are doing
- How we make decisions
- Our policies and procedures
- Lists and registers
- The services we offer
Please note that there are some exemptions and we will explain these to you if they apply. For example, the Freedom of Information Act covers non-personal information. If your request for information is about individuals, this is covered by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For access to this kind of information, you should make a subject access request.
