Temporary Closure of Bishop's Castle Hospital - Update for patients, families and visitors

The safety and wellbeing of our patients and colleagues is always our highest priority, and this decision has been made solely to ensure care continues to be delivered in a safe and comfortable environment.


Patients currently receiving care at the hospital are being temporarily relocated to other community hospitals or care pathways. We are working closely with our teams and partners to ensure continuity of care and minimise disruption wherever possible.


Our teams are working as quickly as possible to resolve the heating issues, and we remain committed to reopening Bishop's Castle Hospital as soon as it is safe to do so.
