As part of the NHS birthday celebrations, Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust hosted their annual Long Service Awards marking a collective 1,100 years of colleague service.
The awards are in recognition of colleagues celebrating their NHS anniversary of working within the service for 25 or 40 years. The event brought together colleagues to showcase the many different roles within the NHS and the wealth of experience in the Trust.
Patricia Davies, Chief Executive says;
“Our annual Long Service Awards are a fantastic way to celebrate our long serving colleagues and to hear about their achievements throughout their career. We have a wealth of talent and breadth of skills across the Trust which we are incredibly fortunate to be able to draw from.”
The event celebrated 38 colleagues from a range of roles across the Trust, covering both clinical and non-clinical roles and included marking 25 years’ service from the Trusts Director of Nursing and Clinical Delivery.
Clair Hobbs, Director of Nursing and Clinical Delivery says:
“The last 25 years have flown by, and I feel privileged to work with such amazing colleagues. I am incredibly proud to work for the NHS and couldn’t imagine wanting to do anything else.”
The NHS celebrated its 77th anniversary on 5 July with a series of events and activities taking place across the UK to mark the day.
