- How does a GP refer in to this service?
Referrals for the Sleep Apnoea services are to be sent via Choose and Book or if the GP Surgery is not on Choose and Book they can either be posted to: Sleep Service, Louise House, Roman Road, Shrewsbury SY6 9JN or faxed to: 01743 356132

Types of patients regularly seen
The Sleep Apnoea service see patients who have been considered as possibly suffering from sleep apnoea. The service provides assessment of patients referred by their GP or consultant. Diagnostic tests are then undertaken to determine if further intervention is required for the patient.
Patients seen by the service are over the age of 18.
Patients not seen by this service
The service does not provide equipment or treatments to patients to reduce their snoring.
Frequently asked questions
- If the patient has sleep apnoea will they be treated by this service?
No, this service is for screening to see if patients have sleep apnoea. If the patient does have sleep apnoea, as determined by our assessment, they will be referred onto hospital to receive treatment.
- Do you provide treatment for snoring?
No, but we do provide information to assist patients with their snoring.
