All media enquiries should be directed to the Trust’s Communications Team on 01743 277658 or by email firstname.lastname@example.org and not to individual hospitals, wards or members of staff. The Communications Team will respond as quickly as possible to all media enquiries.
Interviews, photography or filming are not permitted on any Trust property without the express permission of the Communications Team. This is in order to protect the privacy of patients and staff, and to uphold one of the key principles of NHS healthcare and the NHS Constitution – respecting privacy and dignity.
All requests for interviews or photographs with patients or staff must be made through the Communications Team. The team will always try to accomodate requests where appropriate and would appreciate sufficient time to do so.
The Trust respects patient confidentiality and privacy and follows strict local and national rules in this respect.
The Trust will not give out any information about a patient or member of staff unless we are given express permission from the individual or, in particular circumstances, their next of kin. Even if a patient has approached the media directly, we will not normally be able to respond unless the Trust has been able to gain the consent of the patient to do so.
